Älle Gschichtla! 1960 - 1999

Äffle ond Pferdle was an animated publicity break on the local TV in Baden-Wuerttemberg (yes, it's in Germany), named after its main actors: a monkey (Aeffle: swabian form to make a little monkey out of 'Affe' by adding the syllable 'le') with exactly three hairs on its bold head, and a horse (Pferdle: same procedure as last time with the horse- Pferd) walking on its hind legs most of the time. During the advertisement they used to show short filmlets of them, some of which were better than most of the spots. Both of them spoke quite strong swabian dialect so they became a kind of cult stars. I still remember this one spot:

Äffle is walking down a hallway, stops and knocks at a door. Pferdle is opening the door and says without hesitating: "Äffle isch heit net dohoim" (the ape is not at home today). Äffle bows and answers: "Viiiielen Dank" (thank you very much), turns around and walks away. Pferdle closes the door.
Anyway, you propably have to see it and have to know swabians to enjoy it.
